After marijuana amendment fails to make ballot, Florida Secretary of State allows ballots to be printed on rolling papers

Tallahassee, FL — After a proposed amendment to legalize the adult recreational use of marijuana failed to secure the required signatures to make the November ballot, Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd announced that all ballots in the upcoming election would be printed on rolling papers. "We know how disappointed many Floridians are about marijuana legalization not being on the November ballot; because of this, my office has put in an order for approximately 15 million rolling paper ballots to help voters cope." The Secretary stated that he has mailed all 67 supervisors of elections the directive rolled up in swisher wrappers.
