Jacksonville, FL — A shocking abuse of city resources by Councilman Raul Arias has been uncovered as new records show the Councilman has called JFRD at least 27 times to extract him from his pants.
We spoke to a spokesman from JFRD who said "We have responded to multiple calls from Mr. Arias. Each time, crews have to break the bead on his pants like they're changing a tire before they can remove them."
Tribune reporter Nick Harding spoke to the Councilman as he was leaving City Hall Thursday:
Harding: Do you believe it's an abuse of City resources to use JFRD in this way?
Arias: Look, I pay my taxes like everyone else, $66,654.78 to be exact. I have a right to use City services just like everyone else.
Harding: But what about people who really need firefighters and paramedics? Why can't you just buy bigger pants?
Arias: Big- Bigger pants?!? We're done here.
The councilman then angrily waddled away.
