City Council unanimously votes to implement infant transfer portal, split on NIL.

Jacksonville, FL — Tuesday night, the Jacksonville City Council unanimously voted to implement the infant transfer portal, allowing babies—from newborns up to toddlers—to enter into familial free-agency so new parents can contact them about a transfer.

"I just don't think it was right for us to force babies to remain in families when they could pursue better opportunities elsewhere, we've fixed that, and now babies will be able to shop for the family best able to meet their needs" said Councilman Rory Diamond, the Bill's sponsor.

Despite the transfer portal victory, the council tabled a proposal by Councilman Joe Carlucci to allow babies in Jacksonville to profit off of their name, image, and likeness after Councilman Reggie Gaffney Jr. expressed concerns that it would taint the spirit of the game.
