Jacksonville, FL— Jacksonville educator and City Councilwoman Tyrona Clark-Murray has been removed from her classroom position after an incident where a student kicked her, causing her to believe the student was a soccer ball.
"If you've ever played soccer, like I have, you know what it feels like to be hit in the leg with a soccer ball. I felt it, didn't realize it was a student, and after I turned and tried to pass the ball back to my teammate, I remembered where I was as I saw the student fall to the ground in shock."
Clark-Murray self-reported the incident to the school's soccer coach and has been ordered to run 20 laps.
