there is no limit on the number of elections a candidate can run and lose in.

Jacksonville, FL — Inside sources (inside his head) are reporting that former Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry is considering a 2027 loss to current Mayor Donna Deegan.
"I've been whispering to him 'Len, you gotta enter this race man, you can't keep sitting idle, movement is medicine,' and I really think he's starting to hear me over the other voices in his head."
Political outsiders (outside his head) have reported that the former mayor has openly mulled over entering and losing the mayoral race in 2027 "just to feel something."
The Jacksonville charter limits the consecutive terms a mayor may serve; however, there is no limit on the number of elections a candidate can run and lose in.
