EWU President apologizes after team gets the Sonic rings knocked out of them by Jackson State

Jacksonville, FL — Edward Waters University President Faison apologized to the Tigers football team on Sunday after the team lost several hundred sonic rings in their match against D1 Jackson State.

Here's his full statement:

"To Our Tigers athletic family:

I want to commend our Tigers on your performance against the Jackson State Tigers.

I know many of you are concerned about the number of rings that were knocked out of you on the field this Saturday, however I want to reassure each and every one of you that I take full responsibility for what happened.

The University will be providing players and coaches with several mini games over the next few days in order to facilitate the replenishment of your rings."
