Councilman Favor-fave apologizes to donors for trying to give away the seats they paid good money for

Jacksonville, FL — After several days of intense scrutiny from local leaders, Jacksonville City Councilman Favor-fave issued a public apology to donors for depriving them of the seats they paid good money for.
"I now understand that my actions in trying to give away a board seat to someone who did not pay for it was not only wrong, but it was theft. I will do better and ensure that only major campaign donors and their employees receive appointments, as is the responsibility and tradition of every other official with the authority to appoint individuals to boards."
Despite the apology, the Councilman remained disinvited to the annual judicial auction for his misstep.
