Duval Schools headquarters deal falls through after buyer says DCPS failed to disclose ancient burial ground on the property

Jacksonville — After discovering that the land that currently contains the Duval Schools headquarters was once a Timucua burial ground, the buyers who intended to purchase the DCPS headquarters have pulled out of the deal.

Superintendent Dr. Christopher Bernier said that the district did disclose the presence of the burial ground, but noted that paranormal incidents were increasing after the Oracle responsible for keeping the restless spirits at bay retired at the beginning of this year, and there is no suitable replacement available.
