Heartwarming: Amid uncertainty surrounding SNAP benefits, local church commits $5M to building a new campus to "feed the souls of the hungry."

Jacksonville, FL — While hundreds of first coast families are facing fears surrounding a potential lapse in SNAP benefits, a local church has stepped up in a big way.

The Church of Eleven22 has announced that it has committed $10,000,000 to opening a new Jacksonville campus to "feed the souls of the hungry."

Church leaders spoke to the press this morning:

"We are so proud of the work we're doing. We recognize that some folks in our community may face empty bellies in the coming weeks, but this Church will not allow them to have empty spirits! Our new campus will provide us an amazing opportunity to feed the souls—and only the souls—of these community members in their time of need."

One of our reporters asked church leaders if the new campus will have a ministry to provide food to those in need, Lead Pastor Martin responded "there are plenty of organizations who will provide food assistance to fill hungry tummies, we are in the business of filling hungry souls. They can reach out to a local food pantry or their church for assistance."
