How Festive: In an early New Year's celebration, Jaguars give up 26 points in last quarter

Houston, TX — The Jacksonville Jaguars were in a festive mood Sunday afternoon. After leading the Texans 19-10 in the third quarter, the Jaguars did something unheard of, they celebrated the New Year—53 days early—by giving up exactly 26 points in the 4th quarter.

Coach Liam Coen spoke to the press, as sounds of noisemakers were ringing in the background:

"The boys and I were feeling festive today, and I told em 'what better way to ring in 2026 than giving them 26 points in this last quarter?' and we did just that, no more, no less."

Players were seen popping open champagne bottles and locking arms while jubilantly singing "Auld Lang Syne" with each other.
