JSO hostage negotiators arrive on scene as Matt Carlucci enters 12th hour of "short story."

Jacksonville, FL — Jacksonville Sheriff's Office negotiators were called to Tuesday's Jacksonville City Council meeting after Councilman Matt Carlucci was given the floor to tell a "short story" and began an hours-long monologue. Meeting attendees were unable to escape, as each time there was a lull in his speech and someone tried to escape, he'd say "now, hold on, I'm almost done, I think you at least owe me that much respect." At press time, a brave negotiator was spotted sacrificing himself by going up to the Councilman to ask him a question about how he handled things when he was Council President.
