JTA CEO dismisses accusations that agency using cash as toilet paper, kindling is related to fare increases

Jacksonville, FL — During a heated meeting between JTA officials and members of City Council, JTA CEO Nathaniel Ford dismissed accusations that the agency using cash as toilet paper and kindling to heat their headquarters is at all related to recent fare increases. "Look, if we're going to make cuts, we're going to make cuts that make sense, do you expect us to work in a cold building or not wipe our asses? You have to understand that these are industry standard practices, we spend less than $10M per year on these things, perhaps council should focus their attention elsewhere, like the JEA power plant that burns $20 bills to generate power."
