Lawsuit: Phone Makers Discriminated Against Minorities and Seniors (55+) by Selling Them Speakerphone-Only Devices

Jacksonville, FL — A new lawsuit filed in Federal Court by the NAACP and AARP accuses major phone manufacturers of discrimination.

The plaintiffs claim that phone manufacturers intentionally set aside defective devices for seniors and minorities that lacked bluetooth or handset calling capabilities, requiring the user to have all of their phone conversation on speakerphone.

We reached out to the device manufacturers, but they all said they're unable to comment on ongoing litigation.
