Jacksonville City Council leaders deny ties to mysterious orb Downtown crying their names

Jacksonville, FL — Two powerful Jacksonville City Council members are denying any involvement with a mysterious orb that appeared over the St. Johns River and began crying their names.

According to witnesses, Council President Kevin Carrico and Finance Chair Raul Arias both had their names ominously wailed for several hours by the teal orb before it abruptly dissolved.

Both Carrico and Arias tell the Tribune they had nothing to do with the mysterious appearance and never authorized or consented to having their names screeched by the apparition.

"Look, this kind of thing just happens sometimes" said Council President Carrico, "you guys need to be asking the Oracles if they had anything to do with it, they've been furious with us ever since we tried to place them under the control of the sheriff's office."

Arias distanced himself as well, but did acknowledge that he had a premonition several nights ago about the orb.

"It spoke to me. It told me it was my time to act. I don't know what it means, and I certainly had nothing to do with summoning it."
