Palatka, FL — Two months after a 4-1 vote to fire City Manager Marcia Carty, and a year and a half after voting to fire City Manager Troy Bell—who served 7 months in the role—the Palatka City Commission has voted unanimous to hire (and immediately fire) Cynthia Curry as interim City Manager.
"We've really just been itching to blow off some steam these last two months, so when we saw Ms. Curry's resume come across our desks, we knew immediately that we needed to get this woman in for an interview and immediately kick her ass to the curb" said Mayor Robbi Correa.
"I don't know anything about this woman, but I know enough to know that she's a dedicated public servant we need to hire, and she's also a no-good crook who we need to get rid of immediately" said commissioner Will Jones.
Curry started the job at Noon on June 12th, and was seen packing her desk at 12:01PM.
