Record low temperatures force Diamond and Peluso to huddle for warmth
Jacksonville Beach, FL — After record low temperatures and snow flurries hit the Sunshine State this weekend, councilmen Rory Diamond and Jimmy Peluso were forced to huddle together to prevent hypothermia and frostbite. "Yeah, we uh.. we just happened to be passing each other when the temperatures got insanely low and—since we're both military—we started discussing survival strategies" Diamond said. "I think it was just good fortune honestly, first we discussed going to a warming center, but I figured—since we already know each other—we should just huddle together to preserve our warmth and leave space at the warming centers for those who need it most" was Peluso's statement. The battle buddies were seen building a pillow fort and giggling as our reporters were leaving.
