Jacksonville, FL — Here at the Duval Tribune, we want to recognize elected officials who go above and beyond the call of duty.
For the month of February, we'd like to honor City Councilman Joe Carlucci.
At the beginning of February, we called his office about a raccoon terrorizing one of our San Marco offices. Within an hour, Councilman Carlucci personally arrived, shirtless and barefoot, to neutralize the raccoon.
While we still don't know why he placed it in a cooler, or why he chose to bite the head off, we appreciate the seriousness with which our complaint was handled.
