The Duval Tribune has obtained an exclusive recording of a call between Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sheriff T.K. Waters discussing Flock Cameras

Jacksonville, FL — an anonymous source has provided the Duval Tribune with an exclusive recording of a call between Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters and Governor Ron DeSantis discussing Jacksonville's use of Automated License Plate Readers.

The call comes amid public outcry decrying the use of the plate readers as unconstitutional, and law enforcement taking the position that the technology helps solve crime.

Shortly after the call, Sheriff TK Waters announced that Jacksonville would discontinue its use of the technology.
